Companionship Care

Not everyone needs care to help with activities of daily living; we provide companionship for people who are independent in self-care but perhaps live alone or don’t have family nearby.

Social connections are a major contribution to mental and physical health and well-being and studies show that loneliness and social isolation are associated with increased risks of health problems such as heart disease, depression, and cognitive decline. Our companionship service provides important social contact for people living alone or who don’t have family nearby. This can include home visits from our care staff to have a chat and a cup of tea or a trip to the shops or to go for a walk.
